Reconectar a educação física à escola: um desafio pós-pandêmico

In this text we start from the reflection on the hygienists discourse currently used in the social context to legitimize the presence of Physical Education in school due to a pandemic scenario. Therefore, we show that such discourse is inconsistent with what is expected with school education, especially if we observe the attacks suffered by Physical Education at school and the fact that these discourses demonstrate the regression of the area, marked by the notion of Physical Education as time to do physical activity. We defend critical school Physical Education as a viable possibility to reconnect Physical Education, as an area of knowledge, to the school – objective of this essay.
