The article presents some pedagogical problematic that composed the elaboration of corporal culture concept in the work Methodology of Teaching of Physical Education, discussing three of its current expressions: corporal culture as an object of teaching, Physical Education and the area of language and the specific meanings of corporal culture activities. It was carried out a study of part of the theoretical background in the work and an analysis of the main meanings that the expression corporal culture assumes throughout the book. It is indicated the actuality of the Critical-For Overcoming perspective for the systematization of the specific knowledge to be taught and learned in Physical Education into critical pedagogies.
