DANCE IN THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROFESSIONAL'S TRAINING CURRICULUM

The documentary study aimed to analyze the dance disciplines in the curricula of Physical Education Bachelor's and Bachelor's degree of State Universities of Paraná. It verified the workload and identified the knowledge dealt with in the menus of the disciplines. The treatment followed the analysis of thematic content. The results revealed that the workload of the dance discipline is lower than the other manifestations of body culture. The menus deal with: Historical, cultural and philosophical dance fundamentals;Professional intervention and pedagogical relationship; Technical aspects; Training and professional performance. It was concluded that despite a reduced workload these disciplines seek foundations in different areas of knowledge, weaving a broad dialogue multifaceted.
