The article aimed to answer three questions: how is the implementation process of the Physical Education BNCC in Rio Grande/RS taking place? How are Physical Education teachers at these schools perceiving the BNCC implementation process? And if the teachers are adapting their plans to the contents foreseen in the BNCC? Data production took place through semi-structured interviews. The analysis was performed through content analysis, resulting in three categories: implementation of the BNCC in municipal schools; positive and negative points of BNCC; and adequacy of teaching to BNCC. There is an effort of the competent secretary to implement the document, however, the professors still demonstrate little knowledge about the BNCC.
