Abstract

The relationship between Health Promotion and Body Practices and Physical Activities, through a national policy, turns 15 in 2021. Through essay text and with the aim of updating discussions on these practices as public health policy from the defense of equity as a guiding axis, elements of the conformation of national policy and events in the current context of the strengthening of neoliberal policy, characterized by fiscal austerity with cuts in spending and privatization of public services, are brought up. In conclusion, the defense of equity stands out, with urgent investments in public policies of the referred practices that provide access and continuity for the groups most affected by inequities.
