Judo is part of the Paralympic Games for visually impaired people. The objective of this research was to map the teaching strategies adopted in the sport initiation process. This quantitative research used the survey method with a 5-point Likert scale. The sample consisted of 20 coaches from 11 countries. As a result, it was found that all teachers mix traditional and innovative aspects in their professional performance, but with a greater emphasis on innovators (p <0.05). The most used materials mentioned were: strings (25%) balls (23.3%) and cloths (11.6%). We hope that this research can contribute to future Paralympic judo teachers, enabling new perspectives and reflections.
