Oportunidades de estimulação motora em ambientes domiciliares do Amazonas e fatores associados

Abstract

A child's development can occur in different ways depending on the opportunities for motor stimulation that are provided. The objective was to analyze the opportunities for motor stimulation in home environments and associated factors. Participants included 300 parents / guardians of children aged 36 to 42 months from a riverside region of Amazonas participated. Motor stimulation opportunities were determined through Affordances in the Home Environment for Motor Development. Most households presented few opportunities for motor stimulation. Homes with an adult, mothers with elementary and high school and with boys are among the associated factors. We identified that homes in this region do not offer opportunities for adequate motor stimulation for children.
