O ensino do esporte na educação física escolar: um ensaio sobre as potencialidades do TGFU

The sport has been taught in Physical Education classes from the development of technical skills. Thus, one does not fulfill the assumptions of representativeness of the game, to stimulate the cognitive processes of decision making and to increase students' motivation. In this context, contemporary teaching models suggest that learning be based on the resolution of tactical problems inherent in the game, allowing the active construction of learning, enabling the increase of sports skills and motivation in Physical Education classes. Thus, in this manuscript we address the potential of Teaching Games For Understanding (TGFU) for teaching sport in Physical Education classes, as well as its updates.
