Educação física e mídia: perspectivas docentes sobre a abordagem dos temas corpo e saúde na escola

The study aims to identify the perspectives of Physical Education teachers in relation to the power that media discourse exercises over the formation of public opinion, considering the themes “body and health”; recognize your conceptions about the role to be played in dealing with the subject; identify spaces dedicated to the issue in Basic Education classes; highlight challenges and challenges; reflect on the findings. The data were obtained by the Conversation Wheel. There is recognition of the power of the media, but there is no teleological approach to evolve it. Probabilities and many challenges are recognized. Discussions guided by Boaventura de Sousa Santos illuminate alternatives, making the urgency of decolonizing subjectivities linked to “body and health” explicit.
