Rudolf Laban launched Choreology in 1928 with the purpose of resizing dance's place in culture and society. In Brazil, the first studies on Choreology began in the mid-twentieth century, but only in 2001, with Lenira Rengel's master's dissertation, Laban's theoretical corpus became more accessible to the Brazilian public. Choreology is structured through two categories that must be thought of and studied as a unit: the Choreutics and the Eukinetics, The purpose of this paper is to present a synthesis of key concepts of Laban's Choreology and to contribute to the dissemination among students and professionals of arts, pedagogy and physical education of an exciting work that remains open to translations, interpretations and updates.
