This is the review of "Sport in the school context: meanings in Physical Education classes", by Clóvis Marcelo Sedorko whos Specialist in Physical Education at school and Master in Education. The work is the result of a field research conducted by the author that aimed to understand the pedagogical treatment of sports in Physical Education classes in elementary school. There is a large academic literature review about the sport and school interface, such as Pierre Bourdieu's contributions, the pedagogical approaches in Physical Education and Pedagogy of sport. The book's analysis shows that Sedorko's work is successful for provoking in the reader the need to continue reflecting on the "permanent tension" between sport and school, however, through a context and theoretical perspectives different from those of the renovating movement.
