BODY IMAGE OF PERSONAL TRAINER RELATED TO PROFESSIONAL CREDIBILITY

The objective was to analyze the relationship of body image with the professional credibility of the personal trainer in the student's choice. This is a descriptive and quantitative research, with 1000 individuals practicing bodybuilding with more than 18 years of the cities Patos and João Pessoa, Paraíba. The self-image questionnaire Scale of Silhouettes was used. The results showed that there is a greater preference for female person, besides we can perceive that the desire of the body image of the volunteers is related to the idealization of the body image of the personal trainer (p <0.001). It is concluded that there is a preference for female professionals and that the body image of the personal trainer influences the choice of future patients.
