Our objective is to analyze conflict and power relationships during playful situations with ethnic aspects in the border region between Brazil and Bolivia. A qualitative research to collect data was done interviewing and observing children from three Brazilian schools. The analysis used in this process was the Figurational Sociology of the works The Civilizing Process and The Established and the Outsiders. Relational conflicts, ethnic in origin (Collas and Cambas), emerge during play time in recess. Such characteristics express a power relation among Bolivian-descent children who study in Corumbá, MS, Brazil, and the Spanish colonization legacy which has not yet been resolved.
