Abstract

It is our contentiort that journalism produces arepresentation and a sense of the worki that can betaken much more as a tract than a portraít of reality.Journalistic facts are epistemologica) forms oforganizing the world, forros that reiriforce contextsof stabilized models and, paradoxically, exhibit aconsiderable amourit of indetermination andambiguity in the reporting of events. We assume thetheory of indetermination as a realm that is intrinsicto language and in which thedetermination of senseisthefruit of an interactive, discursive constructiònof reality We point out aspects regarding the very mode of sense production through referential activityin not accepting that language is on one side andfacts are on the other, and that it is up to the individual- the journalist - to use them for dear and uni vocalreporting.
