Abstract

Further analysis of the representations of science and technology that are transmitted through the mass media and its impact on their public appears today as a necessity. From this perspective initial objectives were, among others, this research work: a) establish what the common themes that appear in the media daily charts related to science and technology, b) identify and describe the modes of presentation the newspaper account of science and technology according to their gender framework, structure and language, c) compare the press coverage of science and technology in the national print media selected d) describe the morphological features of the graphic. The selected newspapers of national circulation in Argentina were: Clarin and La Nacion Page 12. One of the characteristics of this work is to unpin the survey conducted in this descriptive study, of what is understood as science journalism, from the concept of technoscience term coined by Mario Heller involved the idea of a specifically applied science reality daily.
