THE ENTREMUNDOS NETWORKS: imigrants images for goianienses in USA metropolis

Abstract

The intention of this paper is to present reflections on the images and spatial practices of migrants Goianiense (coming from Goiânia metropolitan area) who settled in the metropolitan area of San Francisco Bay Area - California - USA. Spatial practices that are printed and circulated in metropolitan: expressions of ambiguity and contradictions - "be among the places" - to be common migrant, which have gained importance and the significant number migrants founded Goiás, living today in this metropolis. Understanding image as an expression of migrant cultures and geographies, producer of speeches and talks about the places, as the considerations of Ferraz (2009), Gomes (2008), Oliveira Junior and Seeman (2009), we undertook a study on international migration these " Entremundos networks”. Images that are pursuing that present full of meanings and knowledge space, moving through complex social networks and accelerated, and are part of the survival strategies used by these subjects in the process of exit, transit and setting.
