In this paper, the objective is to analyze the performance of air masses and their relationship with the genesis of rainfall in the city of Corumbataí, São Paulo. For this purpose, monthly precipitation and temperature data for the period 2005 to 2012 were extracted from a meteorological station in a rural area of the municipality. For the detection of air masses, a simple technique was applied, through a graph called Venn Diagram. It is a graph in which total monthly precipitation data and monthly average temperature are released at a single point, for each month of the year analyzed. By connecting these points, a polygon is formed, which allows the visualization and subsequent interpretation of the performance of air masses over a year. When entering the data obtained from the meteorological station in the diagrams and analyzing them, it is concluded that the years in which the Atlantic polar mass was more intense, there was greater precipitation, especially in the winter months. On the contrary, the years in which its performance was more discreet, the rains had a significant decrease.
