The present article aims to discuss concepts, images and narratives that constitute the imaginary of cyberculture. Considering the importance of cybernetic technology in forming cyber-imagery, we’re able to locate its key ideas (command, correspondence among systems, transmission of information, and retroactivity) and its subjacent aspects by using the works of the French school of anthropology. Next, we expose Edgar Morin’s discussions on cybernetics and the rehabilitations that he operates in his concepts and images based on complexity theory. Finally, we discuss the limitations and potentials associated with cybernetics.
