Abstract

We seek in this article to address the possibility of a beginner's work in journalistic practice with regard to the “affective” trait. We believe that, in Journalism, the beginning of a career gains even more relevance because the so-called “foca” creates expectations in this phase that, later, can turn out to be positive (or not) and start to be incorporated in their own ethics (authorship), for the best and the worst. The conflict for the “foca” is due to the fact that while today society builds fluid and dynamic relationships, Journalism (majestic) still proposes, in theory, to act with absolute objectivity. We will see this from the point of view of a Methodology of Totality, in Morin, which proposes an approximation between subject and object. We conclude that it is necessary to construct the subjectivities of the beginning journalist as an active and not a passive subject, within a spirit of complex time.
