This article explores the concepts of memory and the archive within the framework of digitalization. It claims a redefined concept of the archive, moving away from its traditionally static nature to embrace an inherently generative form, where traditional methods of archiving and classification are fundamentally transformed by the mathematical and microtemporal character of digital processes. These arguments are examined through the lens of the artistic project Netpioneers 1.0, which also serves to highlight the possibilities and innovations in digital archiving as they pertain to media art.
