(De)fragmenting a narrative about the academic life of Nize Isabel de Moraes, historian of the Petite Côte

The article intends to problematize and deepen an analysis of the place of enunciation of Nize Isabel de Moraes in the historiography of Senegambia, punctuating its contributions and limits in the light of the historiographical guidelines of the School of Dakar. Although this exercise has already been carried out in previously published texts, in this one we focus a little more on theorization of the historiography of Senegambia, as well as on the design of the chronology of her trajectory as a historian of Ifan (Fundamental Institute of Black Africa, University of Dakar, current University Cheikh Anta Diop-UCAD). The chronology was elaborated from data from the “archives deposited” at UCAD.
