This text presents a review about the development of postmodern historiography, and the different theoretical possibilities. In addition, it is expected to discuss the relationship between the process of interpretation and the construction of historical consciousness, becoming directly involved in the role of the historian as a hermeneut in the writing of history. Finally, it seeks to focus on the problem of historical interpretation in the reader, for this we will refer to analyze the pact Historian Reader from the perspective of Kalle Pihlainen, so that we can reflect on the role of the Reader in the transmission of knowledge and the interpretations made by the historian.
