Based on Walter Benjamin's reflexions and Bruce Chatwin's Utz, we will try to map out the relationship that this type of figure maintains with its epoch - we will defend that it is one of friction. We will also try to place an emphasis on the strange and peculiar relationship that the collector has with the collection, trying to show that the ultimate meaning of the collection lies in its destruction.
