Abstract

The present text was written as a supplement to the discussions about the philosophy of language. Since poetry makes the Concept-Language relationship a problematic form, for it overflows the explanatory capacity of analytic discourse and makes not what it is, or a lie, but the eternal becoming of what might have been. This relationship ends up establishing another operation that I intend to explore here, taking as a starting point, object and terrain the aesthetic experience that is realized in language

Luiz Costa Lima, PUC-RIO

Possui graduação em Direito pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1959) e doutorado em Letras (Teoria Literária e Literatura Comparada) pela Universidade de São Paulo (1972). Atualmente é professor emérito do departamento de história da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. Atua principalmente nas seguintes áreas: Teoria da literatura, história e crítica literária, literatura brasileira, teoria e filosofia da história, história dos discursos. Autor de mais de vinte livros, entre eles História.Ficção.Literatura; A aguarrás do tempo; Trilogia do controle; e Mimesis: desafio ao pensamento, alguns deles traduzidos para o inglês e o alemão
