REMEMORAÇÕES BENJAMINIANAS
Keywords:
History, literature,, narrative, experienceAbstract
This paper aims to examine the concept of experience as it was shown by
Walter Benjamin in his essay The storyteller. The contribution I aim to offer to the debates
on the work of the german philosopher is to approach theory of literature and sociology in
order to re-read Benjamin´s text. The concept of experience is addressed in view of theory
of modernity: this is a matter of showing the concept of experience as the core of
Benjamin´s effort to understand modernity´s own characteristics take for base literature,
specifically Nikolai Leskov´s work.
