Geography as gone through several stages in its scientific evolution. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, it is associated with the European maritime expansión and with progress in cosmography and cartography - it is a mathematical science. Already in the eighteenth century, with the Encyclopaedists, it emerges more as an environmental science, which catalogues the great geographical groups and resources of different places. It is knowledge associated with colonialism, as demonstrated by the activity of Geography Societies, and undergoes great expansion in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In the twentieth century, geography oscillates between a descriptive cultural knowledge and a technical domain at the service of spatial planning. At the end of the same century, and also in reaction to normative neo-positivist "New Geography", Humanist Geography, the Geography of Perception, Radical Geography or Critical Geography open doors and windows to study everyday life and foster citizen participation. It is in this context that the Project We Propose is developed!
