“Announced” death: memory and heterogeneity in jornalistic discourse

In the ambit of Analysis of Discourse (French school), this article intends toinvestigate how the journalistic discouse enrolls senses as far as Dorothy Stang’s
murder is concerned. Basing on the concepts of discursive memory and
heterogeneity, we interpreted a linguistic corpus constituted by the first page of
Folha de S. Paulo, as well as the electronic version Folha OnLine.
