Abstract

This research aims to study the link as a coherence element. Here it will be also
understood as a strategic tool to sustain the opinion in press. Theories from the
Textual Linguistic and Online Journalism will result in a contrastive analysis
between two cultural contrastive news items: the Brazilian newspaper Folha
Online (FO) and the German Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung Online (FAZO).
Therefore the objective is to observe the treatment of the hypertextual link,
which suggests contrasts in the discourse elaboration and coherence
construction.
