Abstract

This article aims at discussing the problem of the emergence of America in the West according to the perspective of Edmundo O'Gorman. The author evaluates this emer­gence again in a critical way and shows the "logic" construction of a downgraded reality. Therefore, it is appropriate to approach some gender issues which makes way to a sexist discourse.
