Sociolinguistic situation DESCRIPTION OF THE INDIANS OF KARAJ ARUANÃ

The purposeof this paper is to accomplish a sociolinguistic survey of the Karajá indians of Aruanã-GO, which are far from the other Karajá groups. Through such a survey we intend to evaluate the Karajá's affective attitude towards both languages in contact - Karajá and Portuguese.
