The theory of speech acts of W. P. Alston as basis uma development of dialogue semantics

Abstract

This paper intends to detect the importance of some acquired knowledge through
a dialogue analysis aiming at a semantic description. A multidimensional concept
of meaning is proposed. It should involve the logical and semantical
characteristics as well as the functions performed in the structure of a linguistic
event. Due to Alston’s semantic notion, we consider the dialogical quality of
the semantical phenomenum.
