Sextou! Cinquentou! An analysis of the formation and use of denominal verbs in contemporary brazilian portuguese

Considering that the language is available to the communicative needs of the speaker, in this paper we deal with the processes of formation of new verbs in contemporary Brazilian Portuguese, such as sextou, sabadou and cinquentou. Our general goal is to propose an analysis of the formation and use of these neologisms, in view based on the morphological patterns through which these verbs have been manifested and how they can act in a linguistic-pragmatic bias (ILARI; BASSO, 2014). We conclude that these verbs, through their structure, have represented the dynamism of the language in the face of everyday life, which reveals its morphopragmatic character.
