Focusing on the intersection between belonging and affectivity, this article aims to analyze how characters from migratory flows construct their identity narrative. To do this, we will discuss the characters of mother and daughter in the novel A Tomorrow, in a good way, by French author Faïza Guène. Belonging, in this context, is understood as a social intersection, in which the identity narrative concretized by the individual finds acceptance and produces affects of social cohesion.
