Abstract

The current critics generally agree that Tempo e Eternidade is a transitional book on the poetics of Jorge de Lima. It is possible to perceive some elements characteristic to the late poetry of the alagoano poet, for example: their religious concern linked to his artistic creation process, the use of complex images, as well as the design of the poet’s figure related to the demiurge. In this text, we intend to study Tempo e Eternidade as the starting point of the poetics of Jorge de Lima to search for his utopian island, from the original time.

Luciano Dias Cavalcanti, Universidade do Vale do Rio Verde (UninCor), Belo Horizonte, MG

Realizou estágio de pós-doutorado no Departamento de Literatura Brasileira da UNESP/Araraquara (2011-2013). Doutor em Teoria e História Literária pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2007), Mestre em Letras: Teoria da Literatura pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2001) e Graduado em Letras: Língua Portuguesa e suas respectivas literaturas pela Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (1998). Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Literatura Brasileira, Literatura Comparada e Teoria Literária, atuando principalmente nos estudos de poesia moderna e contemporânea, tendo como principais objetos de estudos os poetas Jorge de Lima, Manuel Bandeira, Carlos Drummond de Andrade e a relação entre Música Popular Brasileira e a Poesia. è professor do Mestrado em Letras da Universidade do Vale do Rio Verde
