Abstract

This paper analyzes the construction of image in descriptive sequences
produced by non-literate speakers in spontaneous face to face interactions.
Based on image conception (PALMER, 1996) and descriptive sequences
conception (ADAM, 1993), it investigates how linguistics constructions evoke
mental images and how the speakers translate these images in the lexical
choices.
