Renewable energies, Specialties and university studies on energyAbstract
This research paper focuses on three elements of reflection, which will be presented and analyzed. First, it seeks to determine which university programs in La Paz, Bolivia, analyze, visualize, study, and apply knowledge about renewable energies. Second, it aims to obtain relevant information on which programs should research and analyze these energies. And finally, it aims to determine what the minimum content of these programs should be in renewable energy training. The reflections presented arise from the problems Bolivia faces regarding the energy matrix generated by fossil fuels and the fuel shortages the country is currently experiencing. Part of the problem lies in the actions of both current governments and social actors who contribute in one way or another to the crisis. Therefore, analyzing the university as a fundamental social actor that contributes to these and other problems, understanding that education in general and the university in particular must be responsible for generating science, research, and development for application in society, is of vital importance for a sustainable future.
