Abstract

This text aims to discuss some forms of indigenous resistance, particularly, literature and Utopia Chixi as alternatives for questioning in the face of the linear, empty and dominant logic of the modern, colonial and western world-system that was violently imposed from the invasion of Americas, in the 16th century. Therefore, it seeks to conduct a discussion about the establishment of this world-system in the highlighted context and show its permanence in contemporary times, as well as the indigenous re-existence from these two proposals of struggle. Literature and Utopia Chixi are discussed here not as excluding elements, but as possibilities, nuances in this secular confrontation between discourses and diverse forms of life. For this reason, this text presents itself as a first point in the discussion it proposes, which means that we aim to raise the debate and instigate discussions about the possibilities and forms of indigenous resistance in the face of a totalizing domain project, symbolized by the system -modern, colonial and western world, with a capitalist bias that was established and added to the Americas from the 16th century and continues under a new guise, but based on the same structural elements: territorial domination, progress and development.
