Abstract

Nietzsche doesn't open the use of the word resentment in German philosophy. However, what he does is expand the meaning of the term, leading him to cover the idea of a physiological weakness of a psychic indigestion and also a social sense. In this article we see some of the characteristics of this use of Nietzsche's term and scope of resignification that he imposes to the concept of resentment.

Antonio Edmilson Paschoal
possui graduação em Filosofia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (1985), mestrado em Filosofia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1994) e doutorado em Filosofia pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1999) com pesquisa desenvolvida na Freie Universität-Berlin. Atualmente é professor titular do Departamento de Filosofia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná, coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia da PUCPR e pesquisador (PP) do CNPq nível 2. Tem experiência na área de Filosofia, com ênfase em Filosofia Contemporânea e Ética, atuando principalmente em projetos como "Má consciência e ressentimento: velhas mazelas do subterrâneo do homem" e "Os limítes da razão na filosofia de Nietzsche" nos quais desenvolve estudos sobre aspectos da filosofia de Nietzsche em interface com o pensamento de Kant, Schelling, Schopenhauer e Foucault.
