PERFOMANCE EVALUATION OF AN ANIMAL TRACTION PLANTER WITH DIFFERENT SOIL OPENER SYSTEMS, COULTER SETTINGS AND MULCHINGS FOR BLACK BEANS DIRECT DRILLING (Phaseoulus vulgaris L.)
Keywords:
Zero tillage, animal traction, planter machineAbstract
In an essay, carried out in 1998, the performance of an animal traction planter for direct drilling of black beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) was evaluated. The experiment was carried out in a distrofic dark red oxisol in the experimental fields of the Agronomy School of the Federal University of the State of Goiás, Brazil. Two levels of mulching, three soil opener systems, and two coulter settings were compared. Double disc opener reduced soil disturbance, required less power traction and energy.
KEY-WORDS: Zero tillage; animal traction; planter machine.
