RULES OF PUBLICATION

1. Authors

Authors should hold, at least, a Masters’ degree level to be eligible. Articles by Masters students shall be considered, as long as co-authored with the tutor Professor.

Under no circumstances the name(s) of the author(s) shall appear, nor any other references. There is a proper area in the magazine’s digital platform where such information should be filled.

2. Writings

Articles and reviews must be original, unique and non-published, and could be written either in Portuguese, Spanish, French or English.

Writings must be typed in a text editor “Word 97-2003”, typeface “Times New Roman”, size 12, space 1.5.

Articles shall have up to 15-30 pages.

Conferences and interviews shall have 15 pages, maximum.

Book reviews shall have 8 pages, maximum (books must have been published 2 years before the review submission if a Brazilian book, or 3 years, if a foreign book). Book reviews should not contain title, but the complete bibliographical reference must be included.

Articles must have a title and an abstract both in Portuguese and English. The abstract should be 12 lines long, maximum and contain 3 keywords in Portuguese and English, separated by commas.

The abstract should be placed at the beginning of the text and should be maximum 12 lines long, followed by 3 keywords.

The title, abstract and keywords in English should appear at the end of the text, before the notes.

As per quotations, it is recommended to use the NBR-10520/2003 rule. The entries of authors in the references must be identical to the quotation in the text. Only the author's last name initial letter should be written in capital letter, followed by the year of publication of the piece consulted, e.g. Bernardo (1991);

In case the name of the author and the year of publication are inside brackets, it should be written in capital letters, separated by a coma, e.g.: (BERNARDO, 1991)

Endnotes must only be used to explanatory issues, automatically numbered.

References must be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the article (after the notes), in accordance with the ABNT-NBR-6023-2003 standards.

Articles: GUARINELLO, Norberto Luiz. História Científica, História Contemporânea e História Cotidiana. Revista Brasileira de História. São Paulo, v. 24, n. 48, p. 13-38, 2004.

Quotations no longer than three (3) lines are not to be highlighted in blocks. They shall keep the same typeface from the text, within quotes. They must also have the indication of the author’s last name in capital letters, followed by the publication year and by the number of the page from the piece consulted, e.g: (BERNARDO, 1991, p. 30)

Quotations longer than three (3) lines must be highlighted in receded blocks, coinciding the left margin with paragraph entrance and the right margin with the text. The same text lettering must be used, but on a smaller size, (11), without quotation marks and simple spacing;

Frames, tables, and pictures must be numbered (with their respective subtitles), preferentially included in the text;

Texts submitted shall be judged by two referees: a member of the Advisory Board and /or ad hoc, appointed by the Editorial Board.
