Abstract

This article will present the political reflection of Seneca starting from Diui Claudii Apocolocyntosis. That satire was composed, usually, for comics of tone popularesco, with comic bottom, that criticized the institutions or people. In a combative attitude, Seneca revealed Nero an intense corruptness of the men of his time, due to the emperors' despotism as Calígula and Cláudio, who directed the subjects to the corruption. To be in the Republic was for most a form of extracting advantages for himself and for those who were close to them. Key words: Seneca's, politics, Rome, satire, centralization.
