Abstract

Educators and methodist educators, following the railway rotes that extended the frontiers of the interior of Sao Paulo, throng ant the first half of the 20th century, organized schools in the surroundings of me iv churches. The present study point on the students that attended the various courses offered these churches, aiming at informing about the evangelic methodist participation in the configuration of the social layers that emerged in the urban society of the interior of Sao Paulo.
