Abstract

The dominant class of agrarian Central Brazil, supported in financial aid and technical input offered by the authoritarian state would hold the banner of rationalization of production in the field, especially in the livestock industry. Shares of rural unions and associations, tinted with the economic policy of the Government Vargas, would become symbol of changes in regional agriculture. The Ministry of Agriculture mobilized resources and expertise to finance and guide the sector with a view to the diversification and specialization of production. The portfolio has become a major administrative demands channelled by associations representing large rural producers.

KEY WORDS: Integration, market, rationalization of production, agriculture.
