Abstract

The Order of Templars was a religious and military brotherhood founded in Jerusalem, between 1118 and 1119, with the objective of protecting the travelers the Terra Santa. The knights Templars quickly dispersed for Europe. This article intends to be a historical investigation of the path of Gondomar, a knight pioneering templar, during the formation of the kingdom of Portugal and the Reconquest.
