Abstract

This article intends to analyse a process of the bureaucratic device of the Portuguese kingdom, undertaken by D. Afonso III (1248-1279) and D. Dinis (1279-1325). Both had begun the formation process of an employees' body which had favored the changing of some aspects of the Portuguese society. First, it had been made some comments of these Kings' government. Second, it had been evidenced the public positions instituted by them, and above all for (he exercise of the King's control which ha enabled the progress in the administration of the royal rights.
