The (un)care about yourself of the infirmary profession

Abstract

This is an exploitation describing study of qualitative approach of the infirmary profession. The selected subjects are the assistant and the technician of infirmary and nurses that actuate in the public and private health service. The basis were collected in structured interviews to the characterization of the subjects and half structured to know the position of individuals about the topic. The registers of basis were recorded in tape, and after transcripted, verified and submitted to analysis. The project is divided in categories and subcategories that figure as chapters. In a first moment I analyze the meaning of care to the other, and I demonstrate, in the professional attitudes, the verbal and non-verbal imbue of empathy, and sensibilization with the others pain and with the involvement with the patient in the therapeutical attitude.  In a posterior moment, I bring the meaning of (un)care about yourself, that comprehend the cultural – social – educative aspects, the attention and cohabitation with family and friends, the valorization of your interior. The attention and the physical and esthetics aspects were mentioned as a take care of yourself and, on the contrary, is remembered as incautiousness. The alimentation didn’t contemplate the balance and the attention that deserves, the professional applies constants auto – medication and the work helps to the incautiousness of himself. In the sequence, I work with the (un)care of yourself wile care about the others, that confirms the negligence of the infirmary professional in the care of himself wile he cares about the others. In the last part of this project, I try to consider about the infirmary and your relations in the professional construction, standing out in the conjugation and interdependency of nurse job and the personal life of the subjects. In this I emphasize the relation in two works journey to guarantee better salaries, long work journeys, the convivency with superiors presents unquestionable ways of power, the deficit of communication with the multiprofessional group, maintained as a interpersonal relationship that creates the unsatisfaction and competition, creating the necessity of new meanings to this relation, how I see, the care of this professionals is, definitely, a inaccurate condition of to take care the other.
