This paper intends to contribute for the constitution of curriculum guidelines for Physical Education in the state of Paraná, Brazil. After presenting the context in which was generated – that includes results of debates with schools’ teachers of that state – is discussed a conception for the discipline Physical Education as pedagogic space in which the education of the body in the school is protagonist. In that way, the article presents a series of concepts and arguments in favor of corporality as jointed center of Physical Education classes that can be organized around four axes: the body that plays and learns, expressive potential of the body, corporal development and construction of health, relationship between body and labor world. It’s argued, in consonance with the presented corporality concept, for an enlargement of the understanding of the corporal practices that considers elements beyond the corporal movement.Downloads
