Body, Aesthetic and popular dance: pointing the bumba-meu-boi

Abstract

It enters as many possible readings of the enrolled texts in the body and, in diverse situations, this article considers to reflect the concepts: Aesthetic body and pointing out them in the scene of the popular dances, specifically the Bumba-meu-boi of the Maranhão.Therefore, it enters some approaches that we could point out this manifestation of the culture, to know: folkloric, description, anthropological, among others, that they are some of the texts offered for this form of manifestation to be read, interpreted, understood and brought up to date, we point out our studies of this manifestation in the condition of aesthetic phenomenon. For In such a way we have as main interlocution the phenomenological studies on the Body in Maurice Merleau-Ponty. KEY-WORDS: aesthetic body – bumba-meu-boi –phenomenology
