THE CRITICAL VIEWS OF SPORT ON THE DANCE OF IDENTITIES

Abstract

Given this reality, the aim of this study was to problematize the different gender identities that escape the heteronormative pattern and transit through sport. Through an integrative literature review, The survey was carried out in the following databases: Capes Periodicals and Academic Google. Articles published in the Portuguese language were analyzed in a time frame from 2018 to 2021, obtained by crossing keywords: gender identity, sport and dance. The study showed that the boundaries that delimit masculinities and femininities are gradually crumbling. It showed that there are transgressive bodies that break barriers against prejudices and discourses based on the patriarchal paradigma (men's stronghold).
