THE DYNAMICS CONCERNING THE GRAIN PORTS OF SOYBEANS IN THE BRAZILIAN AMAZON: THE CASE OF SANTARÉM AND ITAITUBA, PARÁ

The current research aims to analyze the dynamics concerning the installation of grain ports of soybeans in the Legal Amazon, highlighting the cities of Santarém and Itaituba, Pará, Brazil. The methodology applied is based on a qualitative and quantitative research, which consisted of the bibliographic, document survey, using the field work technique through interviews with local residents, it is about a study case. The main results indicate that with the installation of the Solid Grains Terminal of Cargill in Santarém (2013) and five Cargo Transshipment Stations (ETC) in Miritituba / Itaituba, from 2014 on, there were several changes of territorial – economic – social nature, affecting the population’s daily life in Santarém and Itaituba
